SUBVERSUS
LATITUDES
Traversing movement, music, and art, Latitudes weaves together nine artistic commissions in three dynamic short films exploring the often underrepresented Western Sydney experience.
Commissioned by the Powerhouse museum, emerging and established Western Sydney artists, performers and writers were engaged to create unique works in response to geographical location, museum Collection objects and themes surrounding their shared experiences. The films had a physical premiere event as a part of Sydney Festival 2023 and premiered digitally on Nowness to their global audience. They have since featured on world leading creative sites and are currently on the international festival circuit.
